Devious Journal Entry

Fri Aug 10, 2007, 4:43 PM
So I just watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame the other day (Disney, of course), and I've fallen completely head over heels for Clopin Trouillefou! He's such a character, ain't he?

And so, when I get in these moods, I usually make up stories to go along with them. I'm a HUGE Mary-Sue (maker? creator? I dunno), and this time I've made up one particular character. Story thus follows so far:

The story starts out with Clopin beginning to entertain children with his little puppet. The puppet...rules....'nuff said. So as he does so, there suddenly comes music from a long-legged man resting on a pile of wooden crates outside a bookshop across from Clopin's vendor. He and his friend who plays a small guitar are earning money for the day. He wears a harlequin's costume (and so is referred to as The Harlequin for a while until a name is learned), which is basically a catsuit of blue, purple, and green diamonds. He wears shoes like our Gypsy King's, except no bell on the tips of 'em. And he had a dark blue hat that looks oddly like Robin Hood's (also Disney) with a long thin purple feather sticking out of it. He plays a wooden flute, and a crowd gathers to hear him play. They also start dancing, which pulls the kids away from Clopin's cart. After the crowd gives up coins, Clopin comes over and asks them to join him in his cart.

What shall ensue? Hehe just wait and see!

"A film as rich as a sauce béarnaise, as refreshing as a raspberry sorbet, and a lot less predictable than the damn food metaphors and adjectives all us critics will churn out to describe it."
